“Combining Cardiology and a tech option to potentially help with the community parking problem? That’s what I call innovation”

This is a comment from a well-respected Electrophysiologist on Linkd In when I shared that I was combining my love for Cardiology, sincere interest in the implementation and utilization of impactful new technology, and Nordic lifestyle/wellness under Eventyr Collective. I am still not sure if it was a complement, but I can certainly understand how it could sound strange to combine these ideas under one business umbrella!

I responded that my business model was designed specifically for the community that I live and work within, so it is totally okay if it sounds strange to others! Eventyr Collective is based on thoughtfully tailoring and curating one’s life in every area possible to add meaning, purpose, depth and value to how we move through this world and life. This is not a concept that I had to learn, it is something that is part of my personality; to have to know the ‘why’ behind everything as the fuel for motivation.

Let me give you the why behind each of Eventyr Collective’s listed services:

Business Consultation: My curiosity and need to know the ‘WHY’ behind everything I do presented a challenge for me to thrive in typical corporate setting, because the why is frequently only known by the C suite.’. When I was recruited to BE in the C suite, I realized that I didn’t like knowing the why when the rest of the company did not.  I have forged my own path to work and live my life with meaning, purpose, and value because I can’t do it any other way.

For over 20 years, my forte has been to walk into ANY situation in my career and life, quickly identify the pain points and bottle necks, and find/create ways to optimize workflow and deepen the value and purpose behind everyone’s efforts. I don’t know if this problem-solving skill is as much valor as my ADHD, but I am incredibly good at it.

I can help you transform your dreaded to do list into something fun and meaningful, I can manage and entertain business guests like you wouldn’t believe and give a professional presentation to 250 people up on a stage, no problem. I continue to enjoy consulting for international firms looking to acquire cardiac device technology. I am great at it, because I have been a keen observer of the market and adjusted my career accordingly, including knowing when it was time to exit. I am now consulting businesses on optimizing existing processes, utilizing available resources, tailoring and updating marketing, future forecasting, and being malleable to the changing market, customer needs, and interest. I provide a level of guidance and follow-up that nobody else can match.

Concierge/Car Rental: I saw an opportunity for a more personal, curated experience in renting a car for those visiting Bend for recreation or business. I listed my Volvo on Turo, began communicating with the customer weeks prior to their visit, and added thoughtful touches to their experience such as providing a toiletry kit complete with chap stick and sunscreen, water, some first aid essentials, portable phone chargers, and fidgets if they had kids. I tailored their car rental experience from booking to return, which added an unexpected layer of positivity to their trip to Bend. I knew the customer would love it, but it was research for me- I took the concept further.

Concierge/Wellness Checks: In my 20 years of working with patients in a clinical setting, I understand the value of focused time and attention. I am not a physician, but I can perform a basic assessment, specifically checking Cardiac vitals and heart rhythm etc, which is extra valuable in our high-altitude living community. In the world where physician appointments have always seemed too short, a vitals check and a 1:1 conversation can be incredibly valuable.  Providing a safe place to have an honest conversation about the help/support options available can be transformative for one’s wellbeing! Tailoring support to each person is the key to having a palpable impact on wellness.  One might need help organizing their home, another might need help with medical appointments, another might want to try out a new fitness or nutrition plan. Everyone appreciates being heard.

Research and technology are finally leaning toward very tailored care and treatment, but insurance companies and fads will continue marketing to the masses for as long as possible. Eventyr Collective not only offers personalized attention but will keep you updated on the latest medical advances available. I continually research fads vs reality and find to share technology and education on what actually works and is available.

EEV: EEV is the perfect representation of the line of thinking that I believe will achieve our goal of keeping Bend unique and natural while utilizing new, thoughtfully chosen, impactful technology. I was able to visualize the value of this type of vehicle in our community for multiple reasons. Small, electric, limited speed, seats 4, complete with the expected of a motor vehicle. I experienced it, it was awesome, so I brought one to Bend to try. I had to dig deep to find her because EEV was under-marketed by the manufacturer solely as transport for the elderly.

EEV is an example of technology that could be a thoughtful addition to a community working to preserve the mountain living vibe while embracing impactful tech when and where it matters. And do it with some swagger.

Genesis RF treatments: I continue to live my approach to beauty which I coined ‘the padded bra theory’ a million years ago. I don’t want to do or wear things to make me look so different without them that I wouldn’t like to look at myself or feel embarrassed if others saw me without it. I am not a naturalist; I simply HATE making appointments to get things done by someone else.

I have always cut my own hair, I do not color my hair, zero nail salons unless I am forced, spray tan for 3 days of color-no thanks, eyebrows and lashes look pretty but I don’t want to maintain it. By the time I share what I use, you will know that it is effective and worth your time and money.

I like the science behind infrared technology and cellular regeneration, so I was compelled to try out the face and neck treatment available at a spa that typically goes for around $300, on a special for $120.

A medical grade technology based on scientific evidence, positive and healthy results immediately that I experienced for myself? Win win.  This machine was being marketed to the face and neck but can be used all over the body. It does not require a license to use this technology; it is safe and intended for personal use.

I procured one so I never had to book an appointment for myself again, and it is now available to my clients for a fraction of the cost.
